Government Media Office: Over 90% of Gaza’s Population Without Drinking Water

Gaza is plunging deeper into a humanitarian catastrophe as the Israeli blockade enters its 14th day, cutting off essential supplies and halting the flow of aid. The Government Media Office in Gaza has warned that over 90% of the population now lacks access to drinking water, exacerbating an already dire situation.

The office also reported that six of Gaza’s 25 bakeries have stopped production due to supply shortages, worsening food and water scarcity. Famine indicators are rising as food stocks dwindle, leaving residents in desperate conditions.

The health and environmental crises are equally severe, with patients and injured individuals unable to access vital medications and medical equipment. The Government Media Office has urged the international community, along with Arab and Islamic nations, to intervene and pressure Israel to lift the blockade and reopen the Rafah crossing for humanitarian aid.

As the blockade persists, fears of a full-scale humanitarian disaster grow, with women and children expected to suffer the most. The international community faces mounting pressure to act before Gaza’s crisis spirals further out of control.
