Condemnation of Israel’s renewed aggression on Gaza has intensified, with Palestinian, Arab, and international voices demanding an immediate ceasefire and a return to negotiations. UN Secretary-General António Guterres expressed shock at the resumption of violence, urging respect for the ceasefire, unhindered humanitarian aid, and the release of hostages. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation condemned the attacks as an extension of war crimes and genocide, calling on the international community to intervene and hold Israel accountable for its actions.
The Palestinian Presidency denounced the aggression, describing it as a massacre that reflects Israel’s disregard for international peace efforts. Spokesperson Nabil Abu Rudeineh called on the U.S. administration and the global community to compel Israel to halt its violence in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa condemned the targeting of civilians in displacement tents, emphasizing the urgent need for international action to stop the bloodshed and address the humanitarian crisis.
International reactions have been swift and critical. The UN Humanitarian Coordinator described the airstrikes as “unacceptable,” while Turkey accused Israel of committing “the most horrific violations of international law.” Egypt warned that the aggression undermines regional stability, and UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini called the scenes of civilian deaths “shocking,” urging a return to the ceasefire. Countries like Sweden, China, Switzerland, and Australia echoed calls for an immediate end to hostilities, the delivery of aid, and the protection of civilians.
Despite the ceasefire agreement, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 342 Palestinians and injured hundreds more, according to Palestinian health officials. Rescue teams continue to recover bodies from the rubble as Gaza’s hospitals struggle to cope with the influx of casualties. The international community faces mounting pressure to act decisively, ensuring a permanent ceasefire, accountability for violations, and an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.
