Hamas' Qassam Brigades Strike Tel-Aviv with Rocket Barrage in Retaliation for Israeli Aggression

The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, launched a barrage of rockets from southern Gaza toward Tel-Aviv on Thursday, in response to what they described as the "massacre of Palestinian civilians by Zionist forces."

Hamas stated that it had "bombarded the city of Tel-Aviv, in the heart of the occupied territories, with a volley of M90 rockets" in retaliation for the Israeli regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip earlier this week. The rocket fire caused disruptions to takeoffs and landings at Ben Gurion Airport, according to Israeli media reports.

This marks the first attack by Hamas on Israel since the ceasefire, following repeated violations by the Israeli occupation regime and the killing of over 710 Palestinians in just two days. The retaliatory strikes also come in the wake of a new ground invasion by Israeli forces into the town of Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza on Thursday morning.

Hamas condemned the failure of international mediators and the global community to curb the aggression of the occupation forces, vowing to continue its resistance against Israeli attacks on Palestinian civilians. The escalation underscores the fragile and volatile situation in the region, as violence continues to claim lives and deepen the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
