The Gaza Ministry of Health released a stark update on Saturday, revealing that 130 Palestinians, including two bodies recovered from rubble, have been killed and 263 injured in the past 48 hours as Israeli aggression continues to ravage the besieged enclave. Since the resumption of Israel’s military campaign on March 18, the total casualties have risen to 634 killed and 1,172 injured.
The Ministry highlighted that many victims remain trapped under debris or on the streets, with rescue teams and civil defence personnel unable to reach them due to ongoing bombardment and blocked access. The overall death toll from Israel’s offensive since October 7, 2023, now stands at 49,747, with 113,213 injured, underscoring the devastating scale of the violence.
As Gaza’s hospitals struggle to cope with the influx of casualties amid severe shortages of medical supplies and electricity, the humanitarian crisis deepens. The international community faces mounting pressure to intervene and halt the bloodshed, as the people of Gaza endure yet another chapter of unimaginable suffering.
