Massacres and Starvation: Gaza Faces Unrelenting Israeli Assault

Israeli forces have intensified their relentless bombardment of Gaza, targeting homes, shelters, and refugee camps in a campaign that has left civilians with no safe refuge. In the early hours of Wednesday, at least 71 Palestinians were killed, including entire families wiped out in airstrikes on residential areas. With the siege tightening, food supplies have dwindled, bakeries have shut down, and famine is now looming over the besieged Strip.

A horrifying attack on a UNRWA clinic sheltering displaced people in Jabalia left 19 dead, including children. Another airstrike in Khan Younis killed 13 members of the Abd al-Bari family, most of them women and children. Hospitals, already overwhelmed by the wounded, are struggling with severe shortages of medicine and fuel, while displaced families remain exposed to constant airstrikes, lacking even the most basic necessities to survive.

The Israeli offensive has not only intensified militarily but has also taken the form of deliberate starvation. With crossings sealed and humanitarian aid blocked, essential supplies like flour and fuel have run out, forcing at least 18 bakeries to shut down. Families now stand in endless queues for food that no longer exists, as prices for basic goods skyrocket beyond reach.

Since March 18, when Israel resumed its onslaught after breaching a ceasefire, over 1,066 Palestinians have been killed, with thousands more injured. The overall toll since October 7 has now surpassed 50,000 dead and 114,000 wounded. The scale of destruction is staggering, yet global inaction persists.

As Gaza’s suffering deepens, calls for international intervention grow louder. Without urgent action, the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza will only escalate, leaving an entire population to face death under bombs, bullets, and starvation.
