U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders has denounced what he described as a joint plan between former President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to forcibly expel Palestinians from Gaza under the guise of "voluntary migration." Sanders called the ongoing bombardment and starvation campaign in Gaza an act of ethnic cleansing and a grave war crime.

Speaking out against continued U.S. complicity, Sanders stressed that there would be no justification for additional military aid to Netanyahu. He condemned the Trump administration’s $8.8 billion arms deal, which included bombs and ammunition for Israel, warning it would only fuel further atrocities.

Although Sanders attempted to block the deal and reduce Washington’s military backing, his efforts fell short in Congress. Still, his stance signals growing dissent within the U.S. political sphere as public outrage over Gaza mounts.

For Sanders, what is unfolding in Gaza is not a migration crisis—it is a systematic campaign to erase a people from their land. And history, he warned, will not absolve those who remained silent.
