Iranians Protest in Solidarity with Gaza, Condemn International Silence

Massive demonstrations erupted in Tehran and other Iranian cities after Friday prayers, in support of the Palestinian people and condemnation of the genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli regime in Gaza. Protesters held up banners and chanted slogans against the United States and Israel, accusing them of committing atrocities against innocent Palestinians.

The crowds reiterated their support for the resistance front and the Palestinian resistance movement, particularly Hamas, calling for an end to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. In a statement, the protesters declared that Israel's renewed genocidal actions in Gaza demonstrated the Zionist regime’s desperation in the face of Gaza’s resistance and highlighted the failure of the United States to resolve the crises exacerbated by Tel Aviv’s policies.

They warned that the Israeli-American project to turn Gaza into a "dead land" and an uninhabitable zone was nothing more than an illusion. The statement affirmed that Palestinian fighters in Gaza would continue their struggle until the complete expulsion of Israeli forces from the territory.

The demonstrators expressed their unwavering support for any military action against the Israeli regime and in favor of the resistance front. They declared that the "Fridays of Rage" would serve as the voice of Gaza’s oppressed population amidst the ongoing Israeli genocide, breaking the deadly silence surrounding the world’s response.

Israel resumed its genocidal campaign in Gaza on March 18, following a two-month ceasefire, redeploying its troops in the besieged Palestinian region. Over the following three weeks, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that Israeli airstrikes killed nearly 1,500 Palestinians. Since late March, Israel has ordered Gaza residents to evacuate the area near the Gaza Strip’s borders to create what it calls a "security zone," a move that Palestinians fear could be part of a larger effort to depopulate the region.
