Gaza's Hospitals Turn into Death Traps Amid Global Silence

Critically ill children are dying in hospital beds as exhausted medical staff battle impossible odds, facing severe shortages of medicine, equipment, and power. The deliberate destruction of essential services forms part of what has been described as a “systematic plan” to eradicate life in Gaza.

The Government Media Office denounced the international community’s inaction in the face of what it called a "crime of genocide." Despite clear audiovisual evidence documenting the atrocities, no decisive intervention has been made to stop the carnage. The Office directly accused Israeli occupation forces of committing "a full-fledged crime against humanity" and held responsible not only the occupying power but also those countries providing political and military support, notably the United States, Britain, Germany, and France. Their complicity, it said, renders them equally accountable for the ongoing extermination of Palestinians.

Urgent calls were issued for the immediate establishment of a safe humanitarian corridor to deliver life-saving aid to over 2.4 million Palestinians. The Government Media Office also demanded the formation of independent international committees to investigate the crimes of starvation and systematic killing inflicted upon Gaza, and called for urgent global intervention to lift the 18-year-long blockade—a collective punishment policy in violation of international law.

The statement ended with a stark reminder to the world’s conscience: "Children in Gaza are dying of hunger before the world’s eyes, mothers search the rubble for scraps to feed their little ones, and patients die in hospitals without medicine, electricity, or water. Every hour of delay is a mark of complicity—a stain that will forever tarnish the face of humanity and history."

As Gaza stands at the precipice of irreversible catastrophe, the world is confronted with a moral reckoning: will humanity rise to prevent the annihilation of an entire people, or will silence seal this tragedy as one of the darkest chapters of our time?
