As Israeli strikes continue to devastate Gaza, the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has revealed that nearly all those killed in the latest wave of attacks were civilians. In a damning report, the organisation stated that 94% of the 345 Palestinians killed between 20 and 26 April were non-combatants, including a staggering number of children and women.
Field investigations paint a chilling picture: more than half of the victims were children, and nearly a fifth were women. The data shows that at least 63 of the 81 adult men killed were ordinary civilians with no connection to armed groups—teachers, shopkeepers, students, fathers. No evidence has been provided by Israel to justify these killings.
Describing the Israeli onslaught as genocidal in nature, Euro-Med Monitor condemned the systematic targeting of entire families and the destruction of civilian life. The organisation has urged the international community to act, warning that continued silence amounts to complicity in crimes against humanity.
Despite the overwhelming civilian toll, Gaza remains trapped—under siege, under fire, and abandoned by a world unwilling to confront the reality of mass atrocity.
