US President Donald Trump announced on Thursday evening that Morocco and Israel had agreed to normalize relations between them, with American mediation.
An American official said, "Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco have agreed to full diplomatic relations."
Morocco became the fourth Arab country to normalize its relations with Israel since last August, after the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan.
As part of this agreement, Trump agreed to recognize Morocco's legitimacy over Western Desert.
