Relentless Strikes and Rising Death Toll: Gaza Endures Over 672 Days of Siege and Bombardment

The Gaza Strip remains under relentless attack as the Israeli occupation continues a devastating campaign for more than 672 days. Civilians bear the brunt of ongoing massacres, indiscriminate airstrikes, and attacks targeting those seeking humanitarian aid, all compounded by a suffocating blockade blocking essential supplies.

Since March 18, 2025, over 9,700 Palestinians have been killed and 40,000 injured, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. Since the start of the current conflict on 7 October 2023, fatalities have surpassed 61,000 with more than 150,000 wounded. Starvation continues to claim lives, with 197 deaths from malnutrition reported recently, including 96 children.

Today’s hostilities saw intensified bombardments across the Strip. In central Gaza, artillery shelled areas near refugee camps, with missile strikes targeting a school sheltering displaced families. Several civilians were wounded, though one missile failed to detonate.

In southern Gaza’s Khan Younis, two fatalities were recorded in the Morag area amid heavy shelling, alongside multiple injuries. Further strikes hit neighborhoods in eastern and northern Gaza, including residential homes and displaced persons’ tents.

In northern Gaza’s Sheikh Radwan district, six members of a single family, including three children, were killed in a bombing on tents near a mosque sheltering displaced residents.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces opened fire on civilians gathered near aid distribution points, resulting in one death and dozens of injuries.

These events underscore the intensifying humanitarian disaster caused by the prolonged military assault and blockade, with civilians and displaced populations bearing the heaviest cost.
