GMO: Israel Committed Over 4,000 Ceasefire Violations in 300 Days

SAFA - The Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip said the Israeli occupation forces have committed 4,091 violations of the ceasefire agreement since it came into effect 300 days ago, killing 1,254 Palestinians and injuring 4,121 others.

In a press statement, the office explained that the occupation’s violations have been accompanied by the continued obstruction of humanitarian and relief aid entering the Gaza Strip, in addition to imposing strict restrictions on the movement of citizens traveling to and from the Strip.

According to a report issued by the Government Media Office, the number of detainees arrested during the period of the agreement reached 159 as a result of the occupation’s ongoing violations.

Regarding humanitarian aid, the report indicated that only 63,094 trucks have entered the Gaza Strip out of the 180,000 trucks that were supposed to enter since the beginning of the agreement, representing a compliance rate of no more than 35%.

The statement stated the occupation allowed 10,703 travelers to leave of the 27,400 who were scheduled to pass through the Rafah land crossing, at a compliance rate of 39%.

The Government Media Office held the occupation solely accountable for the ongoing worsening of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip and denounced the "systematic policy of the occupation in targeting the Palestinian people."

It called on the mediators and parties sponsoring the ceasefire agreement to pressure the occupation to abide by the terms of the agreement and halt its ongoing violations.
