In a move widely condemned by legal experts and rights groups, Israeli authorities have launched a sweeping plan to seize vast areas of Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank under the guise of land registration. The initiative, approved by the Israeli cabinet, will target Area C—home to vital agricultural lands and Palestinian communities—amounting to over 60% of the West Bank.

The new policy allows the occupation to take control of unregistered land, transferring ownership to Israeli authorities without Palestinian consent.
