As Israeli strikes continue to pound Gaza, UNICEF has condemned the killing of dozens of children over the past 48 hours, warning that the enclave has become a graveyard for the young. The UN agency called the situation "unbearable and unconscionable", stressing that Gaza's children are being trapped and targeted in a war they had no hand in starting.
UNICEF highlighted that beyond the bombs, children are also facing hunger, disease, and trauma, with basic necessities like food, clean water, and healthcare deliberately cut off. The ongoing siege has created conditions that threaten every child’s right to survive.
From repeated displacements to relentless air raids and a total blockade, Gaza’s children are being pushed to the edge. UNICEF urged immediate action to protect their lives, insisting that the killing must stop and that the international community cannot remain silent in the face of such systematic cruelty.
