The Palestinian Authority Prisoners' Affairs Commission reported on Wednesday morning that the prisoner, Ahmed Abu Sariya, from Jenin camp in the northern occupied West Bank, had been infected with Coronavirus.
The authority stated, in a press release that reached SAFA, that the prisoner Abu Sariya was arrested early this month, and transferred into Al- Hawara detention center, where he was infected with the virus.
It also added that the Israeli prisons administration transferred Abu Sariya to the lockdown department.
The authority pointed out that the number of prisoners infected with the Coronavirus has increased to (138), who are in several Israeli detention centers.
Detainee Abu Sariya is a freed prisoner who previously spent 9 years in the Israeli prisons, and today he has a session in Salem Military Court.
