Children Among 20 Killed in New Israeli Strikes on Gaza's Al-Tuffah Neighbourhood

Gaza’s agony deepened once more on Saturday as Israeli warplanes struck the densely populated Al-Tuffah neighbourhood in northeastern Gaza City, killing 20 Palestinians, nine of them children, in two separate airstrikes.

According to local reporters, the first strike targeted civilians gathered near the Abdel Fattah Hammoud School on Yaffa Street, claiming 11 lives in an instant. A second strike followed shortly after on the same street, killing nine more. Among the dead were entire families already displaced by previous attacks.

In a day already marked by bloodshed, Israeli aircraft also bombed a home belonging to the Nakhalah family in eastern Al-Tuffah. Though no casualties were reported in that attack, the psychological toll continues to mount as safe spaces vanish across the Strip.

Earlier the same day, a crowded market on Yaffa Street, filled with people searching for food, was also bombed, killing 11, including four children. Hospitals, overwhelmed and barely functioning, received 81 dead and over 420 wounded in just the last 24 hours, as confirmed by Gaza’s Health Ministry.

Now entering its 263rd day, Israel’s war on Gaza has killed more than 56,000 Palestinians, wounded over 133,000, and left countless others buried beneath rubble or missing. For Gaza’s families, each day brings more airstrikes, more funerals, and less hope, while the world looks on.
