Hundreds gathered outside the White House over two days to protest the visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Washington, condemning his presence as an affront to the Palestinian people and a stark symbol of impunity.
Waving signs that read “Arrest Netanyahu” and “No More Blood on U.S. Hands,” demonstrators decried the Israeli leader’s role in the mass killing and displacement of Palestinians in Gaza. For them, Netanyahu’s reception in the U.S. capital was not diplomacy, it was complicity.
Chants echoed through the streets demanding accountability, not photo-ops. Activists called on international courts to pursue war crimes charges and accused Netanyahu’s government of orchestrating atrocities that have killed thousands, including women and children. The protests also denounced the U.S. administration’s continued support for Israel, calling it a blank cheque that fuels death and destruction.
“He should be facing trial, not receiving handshakes,” said one demonstrator. “Every bomb dropped in Gaza has Washington’s fingerprints on it.”
As Gaza bleeds, the anger in Washington reflects a growing global demand: justice, not gestures.
