"Number of cases infected with COVID19 among the Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jails reached 140," said Hassan Abd Rabo, media advisor of Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.
Abd Rabo stated in a press release that the adminstration of Israeli prisons closed section 18 in the Neveg prison after finding one case suspected with coronavirus among the proisoners.
He added, "depending on the Fourth Geneva Convention, the international community has an ethical responsibility towards prisoners' life and health." He also called the human rights institutions to protect the prisoners inside the Israeli jails.
