Israel has reportedly issued a stark warning to halt humanitarian airdrop missions over Gaza if any footage exposing the devastation from its military assault is released, according to Haaretz.
During the final week of July, Israeli authorities allegedly instructed foreign air forces involved in aid drops to prevent journalists or accompanying personnel from filming targeted areas. The warning reportedly made clear that any publication of such material would lead to an immediate suspension of all airdrop operations.
The threat comes as global criticism intensifies over Gaza’s spiralling humanitarian disaster, with aid by land still blocked. Airdrops remain one of the few lifelines for over two million besieged civilians, yet even these are now under threat.
With over a million people at risk of famine, humanitarian groups have condemned what they call an attempt to hide the war’s human cost, insisting that no effort to suppress the truth can erase the scale of Gaza’s suffering or silence growing demands for accountability.
