Five more Palestinians have died from hunger in Gaza, as the Israeli blockade continues to starve the population and block essential aid. Health authorities say the victims, among them women and children, succumbed to severe malnutrition caused by the near-total absence of food, medicine, and medical supplies.
Over 22,000 aid trucks remain stranded at Gaza’s crossings, while the few that make it through cover only a fraction of daily needs. Scenes at distribution points are marked by desperation, with families risking Israeli gunfire in the scramble for food. Humanitarian agencies warn that at least 600 trucks a day are required to sustain basic life, yet Gaza receives barely a trickle.
International organisations describe the crisis as a deliberate act of starvation, a war crime unfolding in plain sight. Since the start of the assault, some 175 Palestinians, including 93 children, have died of hunger. With infrastructure collapsing under bombardment and the siege unrelenting, Gaza faces a future where survival itself hangs by a thread.
