Eleven More Die of Hunger in Gaza as Siege Deepens

The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza has reached another grim milestone, with health authorities confirming that 11 people, including two children, succumbed to famine and severe malnutrition in the past 24 hours. This brings the death toll from hunger to 300, among them 117 children, a toll that continues to climb as deprivation tightens its grip.

The blockade has choked off vital food and medical supplies, especially in the north, where desperation is most acute. Gaza’s more than two million residents endure collapsing health services, destroyed infrastructure, and a life stripped of basic necessities. For families already displaced and exhausted by relentless violence, starvation has become another weapon they must confront.

Since October 2023, daily existence has been reduced to survival under siege. Water, electricity, and medicine are scarce, while hospitals struggle to function amid overwhelming need. The rising number of deaths underscores the urgency for international intervention, as every hour without action costs more innocent lives.
