Turkish Hackers Humiliate Israeli Minister in Video Call Breach

Israeli media has reported an embarrassing security breach after Turkish hackers managed to stage a video call with Israel’s Minister of War, Israel Katz. According to Channel Kan, the hackers hurled insults at Katz before abruptly ending the conversation and sharing screenshots of the exchange online.

The incident comes after Katz’s personal phone number was leaked and widely circulated, triggering a flood of threatening calls and messages on social media. Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth noted that the minister has been using the same number for years, making him an easy target once it spread across online groups.

Katz later admitted on the X platform that he had received a barrage of messages and calls from different countries, describing the harassment as coordinated. For critics, the episode highlights both Katz’s unpopularity abroad and the growing reach of digital resistance against Israeli officials, exposing vulnerabilities beyond the battlefield.
