Israeli Strikes Target Gaza’s Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital Amid Genocide

The Israeli occupation launched a series of strikes on Al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital in Gaza late Tuesday night, hitting the upper floors three times within minutes and forcing patients and staff to flee. The attack has drawn condemnation from health authorities, who described it as part of a systematic effort to disable Gaza’s healthcare system entirely.

Al-Rantisi Hospital, the only specialised paediatric facility in the Strip, treats patients across oncology, kidney dialysis, respiratory, and gastrointestinal departments. At the time of the attack, 80 patients were receiving care, including four children in intensive care and eight newborns in the neonatal unit. Following the bombardment, around half of the patients evacuated, while the remaining 40 patients, alongside 12 critical cases and 30 medical staff, remain inside.

Health authorities warned that continued targeting of hospitals threatens to collapse the already fragile health system, leaving civilians with no access to life-saving care amid ongoing genocide. They called for urgent protection of medical facilities, staff, and patients to prevent further catastrophic loss of life.
