Amir Ohana orders not to vaccinate the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails

Minister of Public Security of Israel gave orders not to vaccinate the Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails; to vaccinate the jail’s administration instead.

Amir Ohana sent a statement to the administration of the jail, saying that the Palestinian prisoners will have the vaccine after the Israeli citizens.

“Number of COVID19 cases in Israeli prisons reached 140,” according to Detainees and Ex-detainees Commission.

Head of Palestinian Society Prisoner’s club held the Israeli authorities responsible for the prisoners’ lives and destiny.

Qadura Fares reported that this racist decision is another violation added to the long list of Israel’s violations against the prisoners, and another proof of its brutal attacks.

He renewed his call for the international society to force the Israeli authorities to provide the prisoners with medicine and hold them accountable for their crimes, confirming that Israel keeps its racist policies against the Palestinian prisoners by using the coronavirus as a tool of oppression against them. They keep arresting Palestinians; young or old, and torturing them instead of providing prevention procedures for them amid the outbreak.

Palestinian Society Prisoner’s club previously demanded a medical committee, with the International Committee off the Red Cross’s involvement, in order to follow up and monitor the vaccination process for the infected prisoners.
