Trump Claims Ignorance as Genocide in Gaza Intensifies

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed he was unaware of Israel’s ground invasion of Gaza, despite official announcements confirming a major military push into Gaza City. Analysts criticised the statement as an attempt to sidestep responsibility while the genocidal assault on Palestinians continues unabated.

The invasion marks a new phase in the ongoing war, with occupation forces advancing deeper into central Gaza, targeting residential areas and infrastructure. Israeli leaders have threatened further devastation unless Palestinian resistance groups surrender and release captives, signalling a strategy of collective punishment that imperils the entire civilian population.

Amid this escalation, Gaza’s humanitarian crisis has reached unprecedented levels. Hospitals are overwhelmed or non-functional, neighbourhoods lie in ruins, and tens of thousands of displaced civilians face severe shortages of food, water, and shelter. With no end to the genocidal campaign in sight, urgent calls for international intervention and civilian protection are growing louder.
