The former Israeli spy, Jonathan Pollard, who served 3 decades in the US prisons for spying for the benefit of the Israeli entity, has arrived in Israel, on Wednesday dawn, 5 years after being released.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, greeted Pollard at the airport upon his return and granted him the Israeli ID.
The Hebrew newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, reported that the American court released Pollard in 2015 and imposed on him travel restrictions for a period of 5 years, and last February it was decided not to extend the restrictions imposed on him, according to the translation of Safa.
Pollard was accused of spying for Israel during his work in the Intelligence Division of the US Air Force. He was arrested by the FBI in November 1985, and after two years he was convicted on the basis of his confession and sentenced to life imprisonment.
A few days ago, the Prime Minister of Israel, Ehud Olmert, attacked the spy Pollard, saying that he spied for money and not for his love for Israel.
