A Palestinian man was killed on Sunday morning as Israeli forces intensified operations in the eastern part of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. The strike, carried out by drones, highlights the persistent danger faced by residents across the territory.
Local accounts report that Apache helicopters carried out heavy bombardment east of Khan Younis and targeted areas in eastern Gaza City, including Shuja’iyya. Armoured vehicles also opened fire near the central Gaza Strip, close to Al-Bureij refugee camp, while naval units fired along the coastal zone near Gaza port, contributing to heightened insecurity throughout the region.
These actions come despite a ceasefire that came into effect on 10 October, underlining the fragility of any efforts to maintain calm. For local communities, life remains overshadowed by fear and uncertainty, as repeated Israeli operations disrupt daily life and expose civilians to ongoing threats.
