Calls to take action in a sit-in rejecting settlements

Jerusalemite activists launched calls to participate yesterday in sit-ins rejecting settlement plans in the town of Silwan.

Abdul Karim Abu Sneina, a member of the Silwan Defense Committee, called on the townspeople to participate in a sit-in against the actions of the Israeli authorities and the attempts to seize the Palestinians' lands.

Abu Sneina said that the Israeli authorities are working to build a settlement neighborhood designated for French Jews at the top of the Wadi Rababa neighborhood in the city of Jerusalem.

He pointed out that Israel had prepared the necessary infrastructure for this in the region, saying that the most important issue these days, which needs a full media campaign, is the Wadi Rababa neighborhood, in which it is trying to impose a new reality, as it confiscated its lands and imposed its control over it on the pretext that its lands in public parks and tourist parks.

It is worth noting that the Israeli bulldozers continue to raze the lands of the Wadi Rababa neighborhood in Silwan town in occupied Jerusalem for several days.
