Sentence to 3 years and fine imposed on detainee

The Israeli military court, Gilboa, has announced three years imprisonment for the detainee Hamza Fathi Al-Qarawi, from Nour Shams camp, east of Tulkarm city, in addition to a fine of 12,000 shekels, suspended for 18 months.

"My son has been detained for two years and he has a long detention experience. He was unable to graduate from the Nursing Faculty at al-Najah University as a result of the repeated arrests. He is also married and a father of two." Says Fathi al- Qarawi, the ex-detainee, the deputy in the Legislative Council, and Hamza's father, calling for releasing of his son.

The Israeli occupation forces detained Hamza from where he lives in the camp on 6/6/2018, a few days after his release from the prisons of the Palestinian Authority, which alternated with the occupation for targeting, arresting, and denying him his degree for 15 years.
