HARIA calls on the Red Cross to save the life of prisoner Masalma

Human Rights Institutions Association, HARIA, called on the International committee of the Red Cross to intervene and save the life of Hussain Masalma, 37, from Bethlehem, who is a cancer patient suffering from harsh health conditions.

HARIA held the administration of Israeli prisons responsible for their slowdown in presenting the prisoner to doctors for than two months while he was complaining from abdominal pain.

“Masalma has been in Israeli jails since 2002,” HARIA said.

“Even through his health conditions are hard, Israeli forces still adopt the policy of negligence against him in order to let him die,” it said.

The association confirmed on this policy which caused the death of 71 prisoners inside Israeli jails, especially during the outbreak of the coronavirus among the prisoners and detainees.
