Gaza health authorities say 851 people killed since ceasefire collapse

Health officials in Gaza said hospitals across the territory received one body and four injured people over the past 24 hours, as casualties continue to be reported amid the ongoing genocidal war.

According to updated figures released on Sunday, the number of people killed since the collapse of the ceasefire last October has reached 851, with more than 2,400 others reported injured. Officials also said hundreds of bodies have been recovered from previously inaccessible areas during the same period.

Medical authorities added that many victims are still believed to be trapped beneath rubble or lying in areas unreachable to ambulance and civil defence crews because of continued destruction and insecurity on the ground.

The overall death toll recorded in Gaza since the beginning of the genocidal war in October 2023 has now risen above 72,700, while the number of reported injuries has surpassed 172,000, according to local health officials.
