Egypt releases a Palestinian fisherman

Egyptian authorities released today the Palestinian fisherman Yasser Mohammed Al-Za’zou, 18, and sent him back into Gaza after 4 months of arrestment.

On December 25th, the Egyptian army shot Yasser, from Rafah, arrested him, and killed his two brothers while fishing in the border area between Gaza and Egypt; Hassan, 26, who was preparing for his wedding, and Mahmoud, 20.

Yasser’s family called the Egyptian authorities to release their son and return him to his mother, while the Palestinian factions condemned Israel’s crime of killing the two fishermen asking the Egyptian authorities to open an investigation on the case and to release the detained fisher.
