Israeli Forces and Settlers Carried Out 2,256 Attacks in West Bank in July

SAFA- The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission revealed that Israeli occupation forces and settlers carried out 2,256 attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank during July, amid an unprecedented escalation of settlement policies and organized violence.

The Commission said settler attacks resulted in the killing of seven Palestinians in the northern and central West Bank, while settlers attempted to establish 29 new settlement outposts during the same month as part of accelerated settlement expansion efforts.

It added that Israeli occupation forces issued military orders in July to seize approximately 831 dunams of Palestinian land and demolished 165 structures, including 80 inhabited homes, leading to the displacement of dozens of families and further worsening humanitarian conditions for Palestinians.

According to the Commission, the figures reflect the continuation of a policy aimed at imposing new realities on the ground through settlement expansion, land confiscation, and escalating attacks against Palestinians across the West Bank.

The findings come amid growing international concern over the sharp rise in settler violence and settlement activity. Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the UN Human Rights Office, previously said that settler attacks and the establishment of settlement outposts had reached “their highest levels on record.” She noted that Israeli settlers and security forces often acted together during attacks on Palestinian communities.
