Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs resumed the reconstruction works of Al-Aqsa mosque, the Dome of the Rock, and El-Marwani Mosque.

The ministry appreciated the efforts of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and its contimuous attempts to reconstruct Al-Aqsa mosque, mentioning that Abdullah II, King of Jordan, who has the guardianship of the Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, gives more attention to Al-Aqsa mosque. 

It confirmed that it will keep performing its historical and religious roles to adminstrate and reconstruct Al-Aqsa mosque and its yards, buildings, walls and chapels. 

 The Ministry of Islamic Waqf finally stated that it will keep protecting Al-Aqsa mosque out of King Abdullah's constant position towards Al-Aqsa mosque as an Islamic mosque.
