The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Committee reported on Monday that the Israeli authorities transferred 28 prisoners from Section 8, which was designated for the precautionary quarantine inside the Raymond detention center, to the public sections and rooms.
The committee stated in a statement that reached Safa that the 28 prisoners are in good health and samples were taken from them and a coronavirus test was conducted for them to ensure their safety, and their results are all negative.
The committee confirmed the continuing state of anxiety over the lives of the prisoners, especially the sick and elderly, in light of the escalating spread of infection among the prisoners.
The Israeli prisons administration deliberately turn the epidemic into a tool of repression and abuse against the prisoners and continues to intentionally neglect their conditions by depriving them of the means of prevention and public safety, such as disinfectants, cleaning and sterilization materials.
In addition to the procrastinating in taking samples from the prisoners and placing them in harsh detention conditions. "Israel make the prisons a fertile environment for the spread of the coronavirus."
