Israeli forces yesterday night killed two young men and injured two others in Tamra city in the occupied territories in 1948.

This incident comes hours after the killing of Adham Fouad Bzaih, 33, in a shooting attack in the city of Nazareth.

According to Arab48 news website, one of the victims was a university student, Ahmed Hegazy, who was with one of his friends at the time of the exchange of fire.

In the aftermath of the crime, hundreds of Tamra residents demonstrated at the entrance to the city and closed Street 70 in anger and protest against the kill committed by the Israeli police. As a result, confrontations took place between the Palestinian youths and the Israeli forces, who used stun grenades and tear gas to disperse the demonstrators.

Eyewitnesses said, "Two masked men opened fire towards a house in the AL-Hara AL-Fouqa at a time when a police patrol was present, as its members opened fire randomly in the place, killing two innocent people and wounding others unrelated to the crime."

According to the details provided, one of killed youths was one of the shooters, while the other killed person and the injured were unrelated to the crime.

The Israeli police claimed in a statement that "during their activities in Tamra, they noticed 4 suspects firing at a house and as a result, the police tried to arrest them under an exchange of fire, killing two of them and wounding the others."

In Nazareth, the crime victim was referred to the hospital in a critical condition , and his death was declared after all attempts to save his life failed.

Following the incident, the municipality of Tamra held an emergency meeting on Tuesday morning in connection with the crime, in which it announced a general strike in the city today.
