Number of COVID19 cases in Neveg prison keeps increasing

Palestinian Prisoner Club recorded today two cases infected with COVID19 among the prisoners in section (10) in Neveg prison.

"This rises the number of infected cases since yesterday to 19, totaling about 355 since the outbreak; the highest numbers were in Ramon prison, then Jalboa and Neveg," the club stated.

It confirmed that the administration of Israeli prisons continues to delay providing the preventive procedures for the prisoners as it also uses the pandemic as a tool of repression and torture.

"There is no exact information about the health conditions of the infected prisoners inside the jail, and Israel keeps faking the truth of the pandemic. Hence, this doubles the risks threatening their lives, and increases their families' concerns," the club noted.

A number of Palestinian prisoners infected with COVID19 faced harsh conditions in solitary conferment in section (8) in Ramon prison, in which they had no health care or medicine a all.

The prison's administration delayed moving a number of the patients who were in a hard need to go to the hospital; the last was Khaled Ghaithan.

Palestinian Prisoner Club renewed its call for those concerned to play a real role in following up the infected prisoners, allowing them to contact their worried families, and forcing Israeli to appoint a medial committee to follow up with their health conditions.
