Yousef Al-Hassainah, a member of the Political Office of the Islamic Jihad Movement, stated that Israel's refusal to enter Russia's Sputnik vaccine into Gaza is a war crime. 

"This behavior reveals the brutal and mean face of the Israeli entity, and is a war crime the Palestinians cannot neglect," Al-Hassainah said.

He added, "Prevention is one of the occupation forms Israel has been practicing against the Palestinians in Gaza for many long years."

He mentioned that the ongoing blockade imposed on Gaza, and depriving the Gazans of their basic needs and rights is a war crime committed by Israel in front of the whole world. 

"The international society and its international organizations are required more than ever before to intervene and stop Israel from committing such crimes against the Palestinians. Otherwise, they will be considered partners in crime," Al-Hassainah said. 

Minister of Health, Mai al-Kaila, stated yesterday that Israel prevented the entry of 2000 doses of Russia's Sputnik vaccine into Gaza. 

She clarified that those doses were meant for the doctors working in intensive care, and others working in the emergency departments.
