Israel sentences prisoner from Tulkarm to 28 months imprisonment and a fine

The Israeli Salem Military Court issued a 28-month prison sentence for the detainee, Ameer Abu Hayish, from Tulkarm in the northern West Bank, in addition to a fine of 8,000 Israeli shekels.

The Asra Media Office stated that the Israeli forces stormed the house of the Abu Hayish family on April 15, 2020, searched it, and destroyed its contents, arresting Ameer and transferred him to the Petah Tikva detention and investigation center, where he stayed for a month before transferring him to the Negev.

The Israeli court postponed his trial several times, under the pretext of completing the judicial procedures against him, before issuing a prison sentence today.

The prisoner Abu Hayish has now spent a year in prison.
