The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas hailed all Palestinians in all arenas and flashpoints for remaining steadfast and resilient in the face of the Israeli occupation.

"We also salute the courageous Palestinian resistance, foremost among them the al-Qassam Brigades, who has assumed its responsibility of protecting the Palestinian people and responded to the Israeli violations and crimes against Palestinian Jerusalemites and worshippers at Al-Aqsa Mosque and Israeli attacks against civilians, children, and resistance sites in Gaza," said the movement in a statement.

We reiterate that we will not backtrack on the equation of a “bombing for a bombing” that the Palestinian resistance is trying to impose on the Israeli occupation," it added.

"Deliberate and calculated bombardment of Palestinian homes and killing of women and children in Gaza reflects the scale of the crimes and brutality of the Israeli occupation, which has turned the battle against Gaza’s children and houses after failing to break the will of the Palestinian resistance, which is defending its people and protecting their interests as part of its national duty and responsibility," it underlined.

"The Palestinian resistance will remain the armoured shield of the Palestinian people and will continue to fend off the Israeli aggression at any cost; the Israeli occupation has to make a recalculation and understand the equation well."
