The planning and construction committee of the Israeli civil administration ratified establishing 31 settlement units in different areas in the West Bank. 

This is the first time the new Israeli government, headed by Neftali Bennet, ratifies building settlement units. 

The ratifications included building a school in Elkana settlement near Qalqilya, and a shopping mall near Jerusalem. 

The officials of the West Bank's settlements previously expressed their fear of stopping the settlement activities in the wake of the new government that includes Left-wing parties.
