Hamas spokesman, Hazem Qassem, saluted the soul of the revolutionary writer Ghassan Kanafani on the forty-ninth anniversary of his assassination at the hands of the Zionist occupation.

Qassem said in a statement that the martyr Ghassan Kanafani represented the revolutionary writer who carried the concerns of his homeland in his heart and mind, and wrote them in a group of immortal books, and carried the Palestinian novel to broad horizons.

Qassem added that the martyr Kanafani mixed between literature and revolution, the pen and the bullet until the ink of his pen mixed with his blood and his body parts so that his name is  recorded in the record of the immortals of the martyrs of the Palestinian people
