Jordan condemns Israel’s ongoing attacks against Al-Aqsa mosque

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned  the ongoing attacks the Israeli occupation commits against Al-Aqsa mosque, and the settlers’ repeated raids into the mosque under severe protection from the occupation police.

The spokesperson of the ministry Daifallah Alfayez said in a statement this Sunday that the Israeli actions against Al-Aqsa mosque are rejected and condemned as they violate the current historic and legal situation, the international law and Israel’s duties and commitments.

The ministry submitted an official note of protest, demanding Israel to stop its attacks, respect the current historic and legal situation in the region, and respect Al-Aqsa mosque, the prayers and the Islamic Waqf.

Alfayez confirmed that Al-Aqsa mosque, built over an area of 144 dunums, is for the Muslims only and is supervised by the Islamic Waqf of Jerusalem
