The Prisoners Club held the Israeli occupation authorities fully responsible for the life of the prisoner, Ramez Al-Lahham, 24, from Bethlehem, who suffers from a recent deterioration in his health, and despite that he suffers from procrastination and neglect in following up his health by the occupation prisons administration.
The club said in a statement on Monday that Al-Lahham, who has been in administrative detention for 18 months, fell ill three days ago in the Negev Prison, causing him to lose consciousness and suffer convulsions.
According to the available resources, the Negev prison administration delayed for an hour in responding to the prisoners' request to provide him with emergency aid and when the jailers came to transfer him, they ordered him to be tied up despite his convulsions, which the prisoners refused.
It is noteworthy that the prisoner Al-Lahham is one of the prisoners who have suffered over years of administrative detention, which has impeded the follow-up of his health, as well as the completion of his education.
The Prisoner's Club called on all the competent authorities, especially the International Committee of the Red Cross, to intervene to put an end to the suffering of the prisoner Al-Lahham and all his sick companions and to guarantee their right to the necessary treatment in the appropriate time.
The number of sick prisoners in the occupation prisons is about 550.
