400 Jewish families flee Lod city after confrontations erupted alongside recent Israeli war on Gaza

The head of Lod's Municipality reported that 400 Jewish families fled the city after the aggressive actions Lod witnessed during the recent Israeli war on Gaza in May.

He stated in a conference for an Israeli organization that 400 families left Lod city during the confrontations the city witnessed between the Palestinians and the Jews.

He called on the occupation municipality to enforce its sovereignty inside the cities that include both Palestinians and Jews to avoid such actions again.

The city has witnessed brutal clashes in parallel with the Israeli war on Gaza in which several Palestinians and settlers were killed and the Israeli police lost control over the city.
