The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Committee appealed on Wednesday to human rights and humanitarian institutions to urgently intervene and put pressure on the occupation authorities to end the solitary confinement of the young prisoner, Muhammad Nawara, who has been on hunger strike for 11 days.
The Committee said in a statement reached Safa that the prisoner Nawara, 35, from the village of Al-Mazraa Al-Gharbiyye, Ramallah district, had been arrested since 2001 and was 15 and a half years old at that time.
The Committee held the occupation prisons administration fully responsible for the life of the prisoner Nawara, especially since he suffers from difficult living conditions in the Israeli jails. It should be noted that during his isolation, the prisoner is deprived of his most basic rights.
