Prisoners Club: Continuous repression against prisoners is systematically planned

The head of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, Qaddoura Fares, said that what happened a few days ago to prisoners in Ashkelon prison and what happened today in the Negev prison of continuous repression, is being systematically planned against the prisoners.

Fares said, during a press conference held in front of the United Nations building in Ramallah on Sunday, on the prisoners' hunger strike against the policy of administrative detention, that the measures against the prisoners came as a summary of the recommendations of an Israeli committee formed specifically to make the prisoners' lives unbearable.

It should be noted that there are 13 prisoners in the occupation prisons who are on hunger strike, rejecting the administrative detention.

Fares called for intensifying work at all levels, starting with the popular and factional levels in order to Compatible with the level of work performed by a group of prisoners on hunger strike.

Fares called on the authority to activate the political and diplomatic apparatus in diligent and daily work, keeping pace with all developments that take place inside prisons.

Fares called on international institutions to put pressure on the occupation to stop the ongoing repression against the prisoners and to obligate them to the determinants of international law.
