Israeli forces Friday shot and injured dozens of Palestinians who participated in an anti-settlement rally in Beit Dajan village, east of Nablus city, according to local sources.
The sources reported that Israeli troops raided Beit Dajan village and opened fire on participants who protested against Israeli settlements and land confiscation, using tear gas, sound grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets to disperse protesters, resulting in injuring and suffocating them.
The rally was called to defending Palestinian-owned lands and protesting the construction of new Israeli settlements in the village.
Israeli forces previously during the month attacked the villagers who organized a tree-planting event in a way to prevent Israel from seizing their land.
The events came at a time of constructing a new settlement outpost in the village as it causes damage and seizes hundreds of dunums of the villagers’ land.
