Israel transfers a sick Palestinian prisoner to an Israeli hospital


The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Committee on Tuesday reported that the sick prisoner, Imad Abdel-Khaleq Abu Rmouz, was transferred from Ofer Prison to the Israeli Shaare Tsedak hospital after a deterioration in his health condition.

The Committee held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the life of the prisoner Abu Rmouz, 46, from the city of Hebron for procrastinating neglecting his health condition, and not providing him with any real treatments, as he was infected with a liver virus in addition to his suffering from cancer.

The Committee stated that the prisoner Abu Rmouz has been detained since December 2004 and has been sentenced to 25 years in prison and his health has clearly deteriorated in recent months and he has suffered from severe pain and after conducting tests, it was found that he had a cancerous tumor in the testicles and that he needed urgent surgery to remove one of the testicles before cancer spreads to other parts of his body.
