The local and human rights organization confirmed its rejection of the administrative detention policy the Israeli occupation authorities practice against the Palestinian prisons, as it is illegitimate and violate all international principles and laws.
12 prisoners in the Israeli jails are on hunger strike in protest of the administrative detention policy.
The Deputy Director-General of the Independent Commission of Human rights in the Gaza Strip Jamil Sarhan said in a press conference that "the Israeli occupation continues its violations against our prisoners, violating all international laws and human rights, and practices repressive detention."
Sarhan noted that the administrative detention allows the Israeli military leaders of the region to release orders of arresting Palestinian civilians without reasonable justifications. When the detention is about to end, they renew the administrative detention for other 6 months.
"This kind of detention violates all international criteria related to just trial, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and international conventions, as well as is a part of repressive detention which is a form of torture," He said.
He noted that there are 12 prisoners on hunger strike in protest of the administrative detention.
He confirmed that solidarity of the human rights organization with the prisoners on hunger strike, considering their demands as legitimate.
He held the Israeli authorities responsible for their health and lives, calling on the world to stand by the administrative detainees who are more than 4500.
He expressed hope that the Palestinian Authority and the US, regional and Aab insitutes to make all possible efforts to support the administrative detainees.
The Head of the civil organizational Amjad Al-Shawwa confirmed that the cause of prisoners is a national cause and a call on all free men in the world to support the prisoners.
He called for launching the widest campaign to support the prisoners inside the Israeli jails, including the administrative detainees, and confirmed that the repressive Israeli practices against the prisoners is very risky.
He stressed that the international institutes must be responsible for providing all the prisoners with health needs, showing the importance of having a serious position on these violations.
